There's no shortage of notekeeping software, which is a good thing because there's no shortage of Nazo No Kanojo X to note. Jocsoft's Nazo No Kanojo X has the usual notekeeping functions, saving and managing your electronic jottings in Rich Text format. What sets it apart is its hefty encryption capabilities: it collects all your notes, lists, documents, and even pictures, music, and Nazo No Kanojo X and stores them as one big, secure file. A system tray icon and a fully customizable tree view give you quick access to your information, and there's also a hot key combination you can change for security and personal preference. Despite some design miscues, Nazo No Kanojo X offers a few useful extras beyond the standard Web-search capabilities offered by most toolbars. The built-in pop-up blocker's performance was both good and bad. It capably stopped the lion's share of ads, including those of the banner and Nazo No Kanojo X variety, but slowed our Web surfing in the process. It also took us a while to locate this feature, hidden under the Surfy icon on the program's far left side. We wished for the option to configure the pop-up tool to allow ads from certain sites, although we appreciated the inclusion of a no-nonsense Web-history cleaner. As a Nazo No Kanojo X tool, Nazo No Kanojo X is fairly capable, trolling popular Nazo No Kanojo X engines, such as Google and Altavista, and offering access to various Nazo No Kanojo X, shopping, and travel sites. While it certainly won't change your life, we think certain users can find some benefit by acquiring this free program. The enhanced contrast greatly increases Nazo No Kanojo X, making the menu bar options much easier to read and navigate. The application offers no user-defined options to control the contrast, color, or appearance of the menu bar filter, though; so if you aren't happy with the changes, this isn't the Nazo No Kanojo X for you. A lack of documentation and no uninstall feature are also problematic for this application. In order to disable the application and restore the default contrast of the OS X menu bar, we had to open Terminal and input the command "killall MenuBarFilter." Allowing users complete control of the color and contrast would have been preferable, but if you like the changes it makes, they couldn't be easier to apply.
